Me too. And that’s the reason riders who event are considered to be just a little bit bonkers to do it. I mean, who in their right mind gallops into solid fences, balanced on2 stirrups atop half a ton of muscle and legs?
And yet, there’s something exhilarating about being at one with your equine friend as the wind whips tears from your eyes as together you traverse across a XC course.
As a six times Badminton Horse Trials winner and Olympic Silver Medalist, I can completely understand the thrill that drives you to want to indulge in this crazy sport we call Cross Country. There is a special kind of feeling that comes from jumping confidently clear with your four legged friend, around a challenging cross country course, knowing that together, you made a leap of faith and trust over every fence. You can find your horse’s enthusiasm once he has understood the game – which is what makes it all worthwhile.
When you miss your stride at that tricky combination, and part ways with your horse, bruising more than just your ego?
In these circumstances even the most simple cross country course can render us a nervous wreck which can then become downright dangerous.
But what if I told you that it didn’t need to be this way?
What if I told you that you could easily learn how some top riders navigate enormous cross country fences? And that in a few short weeks, you too, could begin to develop the skill and confidence to ride bigger tracks. That’s exactly what I’ll be teaching inside my brand new, 28 day challenge.
is the question that many riders ask me. But what they usually mean is “How do I make sure I won’t end up falling off?”
We’re not wonderful and even the most docile horse can be unpredictable at times.
However, you can minimise your chances of hitting the dirt by riding the fence with engine and balance underneath you.
Because the truth is that the bigger the fences, the more chances there are for things to go wrong.
Just look at the epic fall I took at Badminton in 1986 🫣
Most falls I see at any level of competition, are due to the rider believing that it is their job to jump the fence, instead of preparing their horse correctly and letting him get on with it.
As a rider your mission is to make sure the horse sees the fence in time and approaches it in a good balance with the correct engine revs so that he can figure out a way to get you both over it safely. And this is exactly what I will help you feel in this incredible new challenge.
Not every rider has the opportunity to ride a 5* horse a XC, and that’s not who this training is for. Whether you’re riding a young horse, a green horse or an advanced eventer, there are three main things you need to know when on the approach to a solid fence, or combination of fences.
This challenge literally trains you and your horse to find that SAFE stride almost every time, and will have you galloping down to a fence without pulling, panicking or making last-minute changes. In fact, once you learn my SAFE Stride System, you will be relaxed and then over the years you eye for a stride will develop.
💵💵💵
What kind of crazy person offers a cash incentive to become a better rider?
Because let’s face it; horses are expensive. (Slap a picture of a horse on it and you can literally charge double.) As a professional equestrian of more than 50 years, I know how crippling the horse bills can be. So I decided to do something completely unorthodox, and offer big cash prizes for those who are willing to show up and do the work.
Here’s how the “I never thought someone would pay me to ride my horse” cash competition works:
Take a video of you riding a horse over a simple, small fence*
(On your horse, or a borrowed one)
Follow the training plan and complete the weekly exercises.
After 28 days, record another video riding the same fence, on the same horse.
Our panel of world-renowned equestrians will judge the biggest transformation.
Send us your Paypal details so we can send you the cash.

Confession time.
Confession time. I wasn’t always a World Champion and these were not the words I wanted to hear from my first and longterm coach, Pat Burgess. But I really had no natural “eye” for a stride, and its a blessing that I didn’t.
Had I been born with an inbuilt strideometer, I would never have had to work as hard as I did to develop the necessary skills to enable me to amass some amazing rewards in my career, among which pinnacles were:
1 x World Champion
2 x European ChampionS
1 x World team gold medal
3 x European team gold medals
1 x Olympic silver team medal
6 x Badminton
2 x Burghley
Why was my “in-ability” to see a stride actually a benefit?

Okay you’ve convinced me.
A: Yes, myself and my team really answer your questions on the Private Facebook Group every single day. Every single member is important to me and if you’re struggling, I want to help you succeed. So if you’re interested in getting personal advice straight from Lucinda Green, now is the time to get onboard.
A: This is an online learning program but it does require you to have access to a horse to enter the challenge. You can absolutely borrow a horse if you’re not lucky enough to own one. All we ask is that you use the same horse in both the before and after videos.
A: Absolutely not! It doesn’t matter if you’re an Olympic equestrian or completely new in the saddle. I have taught riders from the highest professional ranks right down to complete beginners. And one thing I’m known for is my ability to distil information in a way that everyone can understand and apply.
A: Absolutely yes. This challenge is for anyone who rides down to a fence whether it is a SJ or a XC jump.
A: Again, the answer is no! You don’t even need a sand arena. As long as you have an area to ride and jump, you can apply what I’m teaching here.
A: As soon as you purchase you’ll be sent the PDF training and in invite to the Private Facebook Group. The training videos are in the PDF. To watch them simply click on the name of the video, and it will open in your device. Once you receive the PDF, simply save it to your computer or handheld device and it’s yours forever. (But don’t worry, if you lose it my team will send you another).
A: Indeed! Any applicable sales tax is added in the shopping cart. That’s it. There are no other charges. No recurring dues. Any other products or special deals you ever see from me now or in the future are optional.
